Golden Meir stated; “… I must govern the clock, not be governed by it.”
This statement provides a powerful reminder to not allow time to consume our pace or our agenda… we need to begin to relax and look at our day(s) as that opportunity to enjoy the freedom we have to make the most of the present moment, appreciate what comes about our day -and- not be consumed with rushing!
It’s a time for us to allow ourself to turn inward and continue to discover who we really are, (our authentic self), and truly begin using our unique skills and talents to do what we want when we did not have the opportunity to do so when working and enjoy this journey in front of us… allow ourself the freedom to experiment and examine our curiosity especially when searching for the relevance and purpose in our Encore years.
It is important to remember that happiness isn’t about having it all, but cherishing what we have. If You can still find joy in simplicity, then You are truly a “once-in-a-lifetime soul.”
Growing older and being a “once-in-a-lifetime soul” isn’t about ticking off a checklist. It’s about living your Life on your terms and marching to the beat of your drum.
It becomes increasing important to embrace our individuality and not be afraid to live it! We lived long enough to know that we don’t have to conform to societal norms or expectations.
What truly sets us apart is how we chose to embrace our Life, to continue learning and growing, to pursue new experiences, and to live authentically.
It’s not about proving anything to anyone. It’s about being true to who we are and making the most of every moment.
It’s no longer important to be defined by what we do or how we do it -and- is definitely not about achieving perfection. It’s about embracing our unique journey, cherishing the simple moments along the way and celebrating the extraordinary person that we are.
This Encore phase provides us with that chance to redefine our purpose, embrace new routines and set out on a new and fulfilling chapter filled with exciting possibilities — and never lose sight of the freedom and opportunities each day can offer.
Continue stepping forward in our Encore phase with enthusiasm and eagerness, please continue to take care of yourself, make the most of your days -and- always remember;
